So where are the words "separation of church and state"? In the penumbra's? Because she was using standard rhetorical methods to make a point. Alas, it wasn't made -- because of the attender's ignorant failure to understand rhetoric -- much less constitutional law. http://althouse.blogspot.com/2010/10/once-you-understand-that-to.html Friend, you'll get more of an education reading the COMMENTS at the Althouse blog than you're paying for . . . It needs to be seen by every citizen in Delaware. Ms. Christine O’Donnell KNEW what the location of the meeting was ... a law school ... and apparently did not do any preparations for it. Therefore, I consider it to be not just a demonstration of her ignorance, but also a clear insult to the time, effort and intelligence of everyone who spent time preparing the meting and/or attending the meeting. She does not deserve one vote. It's not wonder that at least one member of the audience laughed out loud at two of the times that Christine O'Donnell made a fool out of herself. Around 2:30 minutes: she asked "Where in the constitution is the separation of church and state?" The Democrat Chris Coons kept his cool, but the audience reacted with a "gasp" ... a momentary hubbub of disbelief in the ignorance demonstrated by O'Donnell. Members of the audience were laughing out loud for some seconds. O'Donnell looked at the audience with a smile on her face. Around 7:10 near the end of the video She asked basically the same question!!!!! Incredible. "Let me just clarify. You're telling me that the separation of church and state is found in the first amendment?" Again she gave a smile to the laughing audience. We’d better get down on our knees and pray for this country … and vote for candidates who are worthy of the important position of representing us.
